What You Will Do
You will serve as the senior leader of SIL US. You will guide vision, support teams, and represent the organization in key spaces. Your work will help the U.S. office stay aligned with global partners while shaping its own identity. You will also help strengthen relationships with churches, donors, elected leaders, and language communities.
Your tasks include:
• Provide spiritual and strategic leadership grounded in prayer and shared values.
• Support consistent worship and prayer practices within the organization.
• Build a clear vision for the role of U.S. partners in language support.
• Shape a culture that reflects SIL’s foundation and commitment to human wellbeing.
• Inspire staff and partners to stay focused on mission and purpose.
• Guide plans, structure, and staffing to support long-term goals.
• Build systems that support strong performance and accountability.
• Develop external relationships with agencies, coalitions, and partners.
• Support advocacy in areas linked to language, education, climate, and safety.
• Build strong ties with churches and Christian groups across the country.
• Support Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and diaspora communities.
• Guide fundraising plans, including major donors and grant partners.
• Support revenue growth and diversify funding sources.
• Ensure donors feel connected and valued.
• Promote transparency, stewardship, and clear reporting.
