About the Role

The Vice President Campus Design is responsible for designing, systematizing, and ensuring consistent execution of physical learning environments across all 2 Hour Learning campuses nationwide. This includes establishing modular, scalable design frameworks; conducting on-site evaluations; identifying deficiencies; preparing improvement proposals; managing contractor performance; and overseeing quality and final implementation. This role is highly hands-on and focuses on repeatable excellence—not bespoke, one-off design.

Responsibilities

Develop modular, standardized design systems for layouts, FF&E, finishes, play areas, and wayfinding across all campus environments.
Lead on-site evaluations using structured assessment tools to verify brand consistency and identify meaningful upgrades.
Prepare well-documented, visually supported proposals for campus enhancements aligned with pedagogy and family experience.
Manage and supervise contractor work to ensure quality installation, adherence to standards, and on-schedule execution.
Complete feedback cycles by documenting outcomes and applying insights to refine future design deployments.
Maintain responsibility for the full lifecycle of environment implementation—from assessment through installation and review.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience designing and delivering multi-location environments within education, retail, hospitality, or coworking sectors.
Portfolio demonstrating completed projects that combine design excellence with practical, operational feasibility.
Strong background in building scalable, system-driven design standards across multiple sites.
Proven experience managing contractors, installations, and quality control.
Strong documentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with partners outside the design field.
Willingness and readiness to travel 50–75% of the time across the U.S.
Must be based in the United States and authorized to work without visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing premium or highly standardized environments in hospitality, luxury retail, or similar sectors.
Proficiency with spatial design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Figma, or comparable software.
Strong ability to identify cost-effective upgrades that elevate spatial quality even under tight budgets.
