What the role covers

This role supports financial management for task orders under the GHSC-PSM project. You analyze financial data, correct errors and verify coding. You assist in preparing financial statements, tracking expenses and coordinating with multiple groups. You help ensure that financial information is accurate, up to date and aligned with project requirements.

You also support communication between finance teams, project support groups and units managing funding levels. Your work helps maintain a strong financial structure for a complex, high impact global program.

Main responsibilities

Review and correct financial data

You examine financial information from requisition orders. You identify issues, correct errors and make sure the entries reflect the right coding. You help maintain accurate and dependable records.

Support transaction analysis

You review coding and data for all financial activity within the task order. You help confirm that each transaction is entered correctly and follows established processes.

Assist the financial specialist

You support the Task Order Financial Specialist by reviewing data, resolving differences and coordinating with project teams. You help ensure smooth communication and timely adjustments.

Analyze system data

You study financial information from internal systems. You confirm that entries are accurate, complete and updated. You help maintain the reliability of the project’s financial structure.

Support financial reporting

You help prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements. You assist with the steps needed to produce timely reports used by leadership and project teams.

Track expenses and funding

You monitor expenses, review headquarters transactions and confirm that expenditures align with funding levels. You coordinate with several units to keep financial information synchronized.

Contribute to team culture

Qualifications

Experience and education

You need at least two years of relevant experience. You must hold a bachelor’s degree. A degree in accounting, finance or a related field is preferred. A master’s degree in business, accounting or a similar field is also valued.

Skills

You must be able to work well in a matrixed environment and support groups both directly and indirectly. You must learn new financial concepts quickly and explain them to colleagues who may not have a finance background.

You need clear communication skills, both written and spoken. You must be able to keep detailed records and follow established procedures. You should be strong in Excel and comfortable using common office software. You also need solid administrative skills and the ability to manage several tasks with attention to detail.

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of languages used in GHSC-PSM countries is helpful.
