This role is ideal for someone passionate about building, optimizing, and maintaining WordPress websites while working in a collaborative, fast-paced digital agency environment. As a WordPress Developer, you will create custom themes, plugins, and integrations, ensuring websites are performant, secure, and visually compelling.

You will work closely with Digital Producers, Designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality WordPress solutions for a variety of clients. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple projects while maintaining a strong attention to detail.

Skills and Experience

Candidates should have:

• Strong knowledge of the WordPress platform.

• Expertise in custom WordPress theme and plugin development.

• Experience with plugin integration (WooCommerce, WPML, Membership plugins).

• Understanding of WordPress architecture, database optimization, and code management.

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP/MYSQL, and AJAX.

• Experience with ReactJS or AngularJS (preferred).

• Knowledge of WPGraphQL, REST API, and LAMP development environment.

• Understanding of responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

• Minimum 2 years of professional WordPress development experience.

• Experience with BigCommerce, Magento, or Shopify (preferred).

• Excellent written and spoken English.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites, including custom themes and plugins.

• Migrate websites from other platforms to WordPress.

• Integrate and configure plugins like WooCommerce, WPML, and Membership plugins.

• Optimize website performance, page speed, and SEO/CRO best practices.

• Transform PSD layouts into responsive, pixel-perfect HTML5/CSS3 templates.

• Collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver high-quality websites on time.

• Use version control systems like GIT/SVN.

• Handle multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Compensation

Starting pay for candidates in California, New York, Washington, and Colorado typically ranges between $17 and $35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Pay for candidates outside these states may vary.
