About the Role

The Solution Delivery Engineer is the main technical contact for system projects. You will guide installation, check system performance, and support customers with complex products. You will assist sales teams, review needs, and create system designs that match customer goals. You will also prepare documents, test systems, solve issues, and support the project manager.

What You Will Do

• Take part in pre-sale and post-sale technical activities.
• Review customer needs and prepare system designs.
• Manage all technical tasks from project start to completion.
• Serve as a link between project staff, engineering groups, and customer teams.
• Write installation notes and guides for upgrades and field integration.
• Support design reviews when required.
• Troubleshoot system issues and offer technical solutions.
• Install system equipment on client sites and complete needed cabling.
• Test systems and record issues in a timely manner.
• Produce engineering documents such as as-built records, test procedures, bills of materials, and upgrade steps.
• Diagnose issues when standard steps fail and work with teams to find answers.
• Maintain project records, test results, and quality documents.
• Give technical input to the project manager and share updates on tasks and progress.
• Report design or reliability issues to engineering for review.
• At times, lead training for resellers and end users.
• Support lab work for verification and improvement.
• Follow all job safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Travel Needs

• Travel about thirty five percent of the time.
• Overnight and occasional international travel required.

Skills Needed

• Knowledge in radio systems, telephony systems, or IP networking.
• Skill with Windows 10 and 11 is helpful.
• Experience with land mobile radio, dispatch, call taking systems, or critical communication tools is preferred.
• Ability to work with databases, older PC systems, Windows systems, and VoIP networks.
• Good understanding of LAN, WAN, and TCP/IP.
• Ability to install equipment in IT rooms and terminate IP cabling.
• Skill using test tools such as digital meters and telephone simulators.
• XML and SQL knowledge is helpful.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to solve complex issues with clear reasoning.
• Valid driver’s license with good standing.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.

Education and Experience

• Two to three years of hands-on experience in a related field, or an associate degree in electronics or computer science.
• Customer facing experience is helpful.
• Any mix of education and experience that provides the needed skills will be considered.
