What you will do
You will serve as the Quality Assurance Manager for the NIAID NEAT program. Your work will help ensure full compliance across software systems, documents, and clinical research tools.
Your tasks include these points
• Set and maintain a process to evaluate software and documents.
• Identify quality control needs and plan required resources.
• Keep quality standards in place through all software lifecycle stages.
• Lead formal and informal reviews at key points in the development cycle.
• Provide daily direction to support staff.
• Update systems to meet health authority rules and expectations.
• Create processes and procedures for regulatory compliance.
• Support validation and assurance of clinical informatics systems.
• Respond to validation issues and ensure corrective actions.
• Support health authority inspections as needed.
What you bring
Requirements for the role
• Strong knowledge of domestic and global rules for clinical research.
• Familiarity with GAMP methods for 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
• Understanding of regulatory inspection steps and expectations.
• Experience writing Computer Systems Validation or Assurance documents.
• Skill in risk finding, root cause work, and CAPA management.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or related fields.
• An active Public Trust or higher clearance.
• Ability to build and maintain quality control processes.
• Experience defining resource needs for quality teams.
• Prior experience supervising staff.
• Experience maintaining software quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Ability to lead clear formal and informal reviews.
• At least six years supporting Health IT software development.
• Reside in the Washington DC metro area.
• Ability to travel within the local area and across the U.S. when needed.
