About the Role

The Lead Logistics ITO Specialist handles all inquiry-to-order work for logistics. You support both Heavy Duty Gas Turbine and Aero project needs. Your job is to read each request, understand the needed scope, and build clear logistics plans and quotes. These plans include transport routes, cost estimates, risk checks and timing. You also help shape contract points linked to logistics.

Your work begins at the offer stage. Here, you look at what is possible, what it costs, and what plan fits best. You also support the shift from the inquiry stage to order execution. This handover is vital because it gives the delivery team a clear path to follow. You help make sure the plan can work in the real world, from customs rules to site access.

You guide cost controls, cycle time checks and fast responses to new quote needs. You help keep the quoting process simple and on time. You also track the results of past projects to improve future plans. This includes feedback from delivery teams, changes in shipping rules and new market information.

Key Duties and Tasks

You will set the logistics ITO plan for gas turbine and aero deals. You work with the sales team to track active deals. You help them understand cost impacts and plan limits. You give them options that improve the chance of winning new work.

You run early research on logistics paths and find other workable options when needed. You build clear landed cost quotes for each project stage. You study markets, transport limits and local infrastructure. You use this data to give strong and timely cost plans.

You support efforts to reduce waste and cost. You help shape simple and steady quoting steps. You guide contract language linked to logistics so the company stays safe from cost risks. You carry out the handover to the delivery team and share all needed data.

Required Background

You need a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school. People with a high school diploma or GED may qualify if they bring five to ten years of experience in logistics or supply chain. You need at least five years of experience in cost estimating for specialized international logistics. The focus should include large, heavy or unusual freight.
