Role Overview
The Clinical Care Manager evaluates and manages complex medical cases for travelers worldwide. CCMs assess patient needs, treatment plans, and local healthcare capabilities to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care. They coordinate care plans, facilitate safe evacuation or return home, and support continuity of care for patients with acute, chronic, or catastrophic conditions.
CCMs serve as a key liaison with healthcare providers, hospitals, and internal teams. They document clinical activities, monitor cases, and escalate issues as needed. The role requires a balance of clinical expertise, communication skills, and independent decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Manage global medical assistance cases, ensuring quality and safety of care.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including logistics and healthcare intelligence.

Engage with Medical Directors and Physician Advisors for guidance as needed.

Triage cases, assess clinical needs, and coordinate care plans with logistics teams.

Work with international and domestic healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.

Review medical records and communicate directly with treatment facilities.

Participate in quality assurance and review processes as required.

Document all patient interactions, treatment decisions, and provider communications.

Identify and escalate potential fraud during pre-authorization and case review processes.

Support safe patient discharge and repatriation when necessary.
Required Qualifications

Active U.S. RN licensure.

Minimum of 3 years of critical acute care experience (ER, ICU, trauma, critical care, triage, or international travel nursing).

Proficient in medical terminology and electronic medical records.

Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as online data systems.

Availability for 8–12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays in a 24/7 environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in medical assistance, aeromedical transport, flight nursing, cruise line care, or international travel nursing.

Familiarity with global healthcare variations and cultural differences.
