About the Role

You will manage many titles in different stages of the editorial process. Your job is to keep schedules clear, share updates, and support editors and freelancers so each title stays on track. You will also help guide metadata, track progress and support production meetings.

Key tasks include.

• Create and manage seasonal publishing schedules.
• Set deadlines and make sure teams follow them.
• Work with in house staff and freelancers to meet schedule goals.
• Enter and maintain title data in company systems.
• Lead weekly production meetings.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

This role calls for strong planning skills and a steady communication style.

Main needs include.

• At least seven years of managing editorial or project management experience in publishing.
• Strong attention to detail and organized work habits.
• Clear writing and speaking skills.
• Ability to build strong working ties and manage tasks across teams.
• Skill using Microsoft Office tools.
• Knowledge of FileMaker, SAP or InDesign is helpful.
• Interest in manga, anime, comics or Japanese culture is a plus.
