Role Overview

The Project Engineering Manager will lead engineering work for FACTS projects from early sales support to final handover. The job covers technical control, team guidance and close tracking of goals, hours and quality. You will work with several teams across many countries, so clear direction and steady teamwork are key. GE Vernova wants someone who can take charge, make firm decisions and support solid project results.

Main Responsibilities

You will guide design tasks and make sure engineering work meets project needs. You will work with the sales team during the ITO stage, then help move the project to full delivery. You will also keep close track of engineering plans, schedules and tools like the Master Document List and Jira.

You will check that all engineering work meets the customer’s technical needs and the project contract. This includes support for the sourcing team, as you will look at supplier technical offers and confirm they match the set rules.

A major part of your job is managing hours and budgets. You will follow design plans, check work quality and update any changes in a clear and steady way. You will watch OTD and other project targets through tools like Tableau. Each step must match GE’s official process rules for safety, roles and design quality.

You will also give monthly hour forecasts with the project engineering team. Any change in budget or hours must be recorded in the right tools. When issues appear, you will provide early warnings and support problem solving through RCA or PSR when needed. You will share lessons learned at team meetings.

You will run Engineering Gate Review meetings and follow the outputs with the team. You will also track risks and chances for improvement using GE’s written method. When needed, you will support change work with the project manager to keep goals on track.

You will help plan and run training sessions inside the team and for the customer. During site work and trial stages, you will guide technical work with the project manager and help complete handover.

Required Qualifications

You need a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited school. You must have eight years of engineering management work on delivery projects. You need at least five years guiding mixed teams with work done across several countries. You also need three years with engineering tools like Jira and Tableau. You must be able to travel up to 20 percent of the time and follow all travel and tax rules.

Desired Skills

GE Vernova values people who speak Spanish or French. A P.E. license is helpful, but an EIT with plans to earn the license is also welcome. Clear speaking and strong presentation skills matter. You should be steady under stress and ready to solve technical issues. You should have solid skills in your main engineering field and show strong control, clear judgment and a steady work style. Good time and work planning skills will help you succeed. Remote work is possible for strong candidates, though hybrid work in Saratoga Springs is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this job is 111,200 to 185,400 USD each year. Pay may change by location based on set company rules. Annual bonus is possible but not guaranteed.
