Main Duties

In this role, you will oversee the child and adolescent outpatient psychiatry division. You will guide scheduling for providers and help keep daily operations organized. You will offer psychiatric care to young patients in several areas, including the outpatient psychiatry clinic, behavioral pediatric clinic and the pediatric emergency room. You will support care teams by offering clear guidance, steady direction and simple communication during treatment.

You will supervise attending physicians and allied health staff in the outpatient setting. You will also teach and guide residents, medical students, nurse practitioners and mid-level providers. You will help them build confidence in their clinical skills and support them as they learn to manage complex cases. Your role includes offering clinical advice to team members and helping them make safe decisions.

You will lead performance improvement efforts that shape the quality of care in the division. These projects help keep services aligned with the hospital’s standards and improve patient outcomes. You will also help maintain strong academic ties with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. Required Skills

To qualify, you must be board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. You must also be board certified or board eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry. A current New York State medical license is required, along with an unrestricted registration. Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role is three hundred three thousand dollars for a forty hour work week. The total estimated compensation value may reach up to three hundred seventy three thousand dollars depending on company contributions. You may also earn a bonus based on quality and productivity goals. PAGNY offers a retirement program with company contributions that do not require an employee match. After one year, this contribution increases.
