You will also work with several teams inside the company to help clients receive the right support at the right time.

About the Company

Oceans is an outsourcing firm that connects skilled talent in Sri Lanka with startup founders, executives and business leaders across the United States. The company supports clients through trained remote professionals known as Divers. Oceans focuses on quality, care and strong relationships, helping both clients and Divers grow together.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship and Communication

You will act as the main contact for active clients. You will guide them through updates, changes and daily requests. You will handle questions about billing, leave balances or other service needs. When a Diver transitions out, goes on leave or needs a replacement, you will manage that communication with care and clear timing. Sensitive messages require calm and thoughtful handling, and this role expects both.

Finance, Legal and Operations

You will oversee billing tasks and help track payments. If an invoice fails, you will work with Accounts Receivable to fix it. You may follow up on overdue payments and help process refunds or concessions. When a client cancels or pauses service, you will calculate fees and complete required steps across HubSpot, billing tools and internal systems. You will also work with the Legal team on contracts, NDAs or policy updates.

Client Growth and Support

You will help scope requests when a client adjusts a role or adds new work. When a replacement is needed, you will support the matching process. Some clients may ask for bonuses, gifts or equipment, and you will coordinate these needs with Procurement, HR or Accounts Receivable. You will help support possible upsell paths by understanding where Oceans can offer more value. You will also follow up on warm referrals from satisfied clients.

Process Ownership and Systems

You will keep accurate records in HubSpot, Workable and GSuite. Daily communication often happens in Slack, so fast replies and clear notes are key. You will watch for repeated client issues and share ideas that improve workflows. You may also recommend changes to tools or steps that help the team work better.

Requirements

Experience

You need at least four years of experience in client success, account management or operations. Work in B2B services or professional services helps. You should be comfortable managing several clients at once and keeping details in order. Experience with startups or global teams is a strong advantage.

Technical Skills

You should know how to use HubSpot, Workable, GSuite and Slack. You need to feel confident reading reports and working with basic dashboards.

Soft Skills

Strong writing and speaking skills in English are important. You must stay calm under pressure and focus on solutions. You should be organized, flexible and ready to work in an environment that moves quickly.

Education

An undergraduate degree is preferred, but strong experience may serve as an alternative.
