A Material Science Engineering manufacturing company seeks to hire an efficient, well-organized, self-motivated, dynamic, and multi-skilled individual to join our organization in the position listed below. The selected incumbent will be based at our Harare Factory Office.
Post: Technical Sales Representative
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
• Generating leads that meet or exceed sales goals.
• Giving technical advise to existing and potential clients.
• Attend to project sites for evaluation, assessment and quotations.
• Produce technical reports following site visits.
• Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports detailing customer needs, problems and any emerging issues on the market.
• Participate in the formulation and implementation of a marketing plan.
• Conducting marketing visits and ensuring market penetrations for the product range and mines and industrial services offering.
• Coordinate sales efforts with Sales and Marketing team and other departments
• Maintain and update physical customer database.
• Maintain current and potential client relationships.
• Generate and maintain daily sales register.
• Cold calling new and prospective clients.
• Support the Finance Department through follow-up of payments from debtors.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications/ Competencies
• A diploma/ degree in Civil Engineering.
• A sales and marketing diploma/ degree an added advantage.
• Must have 2 to 3 years’ working experience with a proven sales record.
• Experience of sales in construction and mining industries is a distinct advantage.
• Technical understanding of coatings, sealants and adhesives application is an added advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Clean class 4 drivers’ license.
