Job Description
The EUNOR GUTI ACADEMY BULAWAYO is seeking a skilled and motivated Sciences Teacher to promote STEM education and should major in chemistry/biology. Your job is to ensure a safe and fun learning environment in which students develop a sense of self-discovery and an intrinsic motivation to learn.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct classes and deliver lessons that promote learning and interest in Sciences.
• Provide supervision and care to children in classrooms and during outdoor activities.
• Communicate student progress and concerns to the appropriate authorities, including parents, administration, and support staff.
• Prepare lessons for students in specific subjects, creating individualized learning experiences as needed.
• Adhere to all classroom and school rules and regulations, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment for children.
• Establish and enforce rules of student behavior, classroom expectations, and procedures.
• Support the education and care of children by working with families and guardians to inform them about student development.
• Coordinate and participate in the planning and execution of school and classroom events, including curriculum days and holidays.
• Participate in school meetings and conferences.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be at least 28 years old and above
2. A holder of a teaching qualification and a degree (BSc/BED in Chemistry/Biology)
3. Ability to teach to A-level
4. MUST have a christian background
5. Should be based in Bulawayo
6. Must be readily available by the 1st of July 2025
Qualifications and Experience
• 5 years teaching experience required
• College degree in teaching required (BSc/BED with Chemistry/Biology as a major)
• Knowledge of child psychology and/or education theory is preferred.
• Experience planning and implementing teaching strategies and methods.
• Ability to establish and maintain rapport with children and families.
• Effective and professional written and oral communication skills.
• Participation in extramural activities is an added advantage
• MUST have a Christian background
