World Vision Zimbabwe invites qualified service providers to submit proposals for the implementation
of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture interventions under the Zimbabwe Resilience Building Fund
Phase II (ZRBF II). This initiative aims to build resilience, strengthen livelihoods, and improve food and
income security among rural communities affected by climatic and economic shocks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Scope of Work:
• Development and management of smallholder aquaculture systems.
• Establishment of Culture-Based Fisheries (CBF) in community-managed water bodies.
• Promotion of freshwater biodiversity conservation.
• Design and implementation of integrated agriculture-aquaculture systems.
• Community engagement and nutrition behavior change campaigns.
• Livelihood diversification and value chain development.
• Vocational skills training for youth and vulnerable community members.
• Financial inclusion and access to microfinance services.
Objectives:
• Improve dietary diversity and household nutrition.
• Enhance rural incomes.
• Conserve biodiversity.
• Strengthen local value chains and market systems.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in aquaculture, CBF, and integrated farming systems.
• Strong technical expertise in fish hatchery operations and aquaculture infrastructure.
• Experience working with smallholder farmers and community groups.
• Capacity to deliver participatory training and vocational skills programs.
• Experience in donor-funded rural development projects.
Submission Guidelines: Interested service providers must submit:
• A detailed technical proposal outlining methodology, team composition, and work plan.
• A corresponding financial proposal, including all costs for staffing, travel, equipment, training,
and materials.
