Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Zimbabwe (HOSPAZ)PVO13/99, is a member-based organization registered in 1999 as a Private Voluntary Organization responsible for coordinating and building the capacity of organizations that provide and support palliative care and home care in Zimbabwe. The organization seeks to engage a highly motivated and creative Communications Intern to help raise the organization’s visibility. .
Duties and Responsibilities
– Primarily responsible for writing, editing and sharing content including publications, releases, website content, annual reports and other material that communicate the organization’s activities.
– Collect and document all success stories, lessons learnt and best practices
– Maintain the organization’s visibility on the organization’s website and social media (Website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)
– Use of social media as a feedback platform for the public and various stakeholders and partners
– Design and distribute newsletters and IEC Material
– Compile a photograph and video library
– Maintain a centralized archive of reports and documents in digital and hardcopy
Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
• Knowledge and ability to use social media
• Good interpersonal and public relations skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
Qualifications and Requirements
– Graduated with a University degree in Media/Journalism/ Communications/Public Relations or related fields
– Expertise in social media content creation
– Photography and Microsoft Office Package is essential
