Job Description
Mother Touch Senior School, Selous is seeking a qualified and passionate Chinese Teacher who is also capable of teaching other subjects, preferably Sciences or Biology. The ideal candidate should be teacher-trained, experienced in delivering engaging lessons, and committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Chinese Language Teaching
– Develop and deliver engaging lessons in Chinese language and culture.
– Prepare lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and modern teaching methodologies.
– Assess student progress through tests, assignments, and oral evaluations.
– Facilitate immersive language learning activities, including cultural projects.
– Support students in developing speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills.
Additional Subject Teaching (Sciences, Biology, or Other)
– Teach Sciences, Biology, or other approved subjects with clarity and enthusiasm.
– Plan and implement interactive and inquiry-based lessons.
– Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
– Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
– Utilize technology and practical demonstrations to enhance learning.
Qualifications and Experience
– Degree or Diploma or Certification specializing in Chinese language.
– Additional teaching qualification(s) in Sciences, Biology, or other subjects is an advantage.
– Certified sports coaching in any discipline (added advantage).
– Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese.
– Knowledge of modern teaching methods and classroom management strategies.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Prior teaching experience in Chinese language at secondary school level.
– Experience in teaching Sciences, Biology, or other subjects (added advantage).
– Familiarity with Cambridge curriculum.
-Experience in coaching sports (added advantage).
– Ability to use educational related technology to enhance learning.
