Job Description
We are an organization of cooperatives in Harare established with a view to assist its members acquire affordable and sustainable shelter (housing) within the confines of the law and in compliance with the requirements of the Local Authority. The organization seeks to urgently recruit an Administration Officer for assumption of duty. Applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates are urgently invited to fill in the position.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Receiving members and attending to them,
• Explaining to members all requisite requirements, procedures, and processes in connection with the housing project and the Pay Scheme,
• Capturing membership data, maintaining organized records,
• Schedule and manage coordination of internal and external meetings.
• Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems.
• Order and manage office supplies, stationery, and consumables (e.g., printer toner).
• Receipting and managing petty cash disbursements and reconciliations.
• Support procurement processes—preparing purchase requests.
• Assist in preparing and submitting basic invoices and payment requests.
Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma or degree in Office Administration, Business Management, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar position.
• Some knowledge of housing development projects
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of digital and formal online communication platforms.
• Mature, high intergrity and confidentiality
• Calm and ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
• Tactful in high charged situations
• Reliable and self-managed and team-oriented
• Great attention to detail
