JOB VACANCY: SHIFT LEADER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the above position that has arisen in our Production Department.
Job Purpose
The role involves supervising operations during assigned shifts to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production in accordance with company standards. Key responsibilities include meeting production targets, enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Manages the entire operations according to the company’s shift roster and production schedule.
• Establishes and maintains good manufacturing practices (GMP) and proper housekeeping standards throughout the plant.
• Supervises the maintenance team to ensure prompt and effective resolution of breakdowns.
• Determines daily production and packing plans to achieve set volume and efficiency targets.
• Ensures targeted operational efficiencies are achieved and sustained.
• Develops, recommends, and implements operational procedures aligned with food safety, quality management, environmental, and employee safety management systems.
• Drives strict adherence to set procedures and operational standards.
• Trains production staff on relevant policies and operational procedures.
• Manages the production process in a manner that upholds food safety in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
• A university degree in Chemical Engineering, Science and Technology, or a related field.
• A professional qualification or certification in Data Analysis will be an added advantage.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality control systems.
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle operational challenges effectively.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong planning, coordination, and decision-making abilities.
