Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable real estate development company, for a dynamic, professional, and client-focused Senior Real Estate Agent. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in real estate compliance, legal documentation, and regulatory affairs.
The Senior Real Estate Agent is the legally recognized head of a real estate firm, responsible for ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with the Estate Agents Act [Chapter 27:17], provides professional real estate services, and upholds ethical standards in property transactions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all real estate projects comply with legal, statutory, and municipal regulations while also delivering exceptional customer service and supporting sales operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance & Licensing
-Ensure that the real estate firm and all its agents comply with the Estate Agents Act and other real estate-related legislation.
-Maintain valid registration with the Estate Agents Council of Zimbabwe.
-Submit all required returns, renewals, and documentation to EACZ.
-Supervise the preparation and safekeeping of all statutory registers and client trust accounts.

2. Real Estate Operations
-Oversee all sales, rentals, property management, and valuation activities of the agency.
-Ensure accurate and lawful preparation of sale agreements, lease agreements, mandates, and valuation reports.
-Authorize and sign off all real estate transactions executed by the firm.
-Supervise junior agents, interns, and administrative staff in line with the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe (REIZ) best practices.

3. Client Relationship & Ethical Oversight
-Serve as the chief contact person in handling client complaints, disputes, and escalations.
-Uphold and enforce ethical business conduct, confidentiality, and professional integrity within the firm.
-Ensure full disclosure and proper handling of client deposits, rentals, and trust accounts.

4. Training & Development
-Mentor and train aspiring estate agents and interns under attachment.
-Promote continued professional development and knowledge of real estate laws, marketing, and property trends.

5. Strategic & Financial Oversight
-Contribute to the development of strategic goals for growth and market share.
-Review and authorize property valuations, commission structures, and financial reports.
-Monitor income, expenditure, and ensure proper use of client trust funds.

Qualifications and Experience

-Fully registered and practicing member with the Estate Agents Council of Zimbabwe
-At least 5 years of real estate experience, including managerial or supervisory duties
-Strong knowledge of Zimbabwean property law, land tenure systems, deeds registration, and urban planning regulations
-Clean disciplinary record with EACZ and other professional bodies
-Proven leadership, communication, and client service skills
