Web & App Maintenance
- Ensure all features on the digital platforms are working as should, and correcting any errors that may arise.
- Monitor digital platform uptimes and taking corrective action to ensure stable and consistent uptime.
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders to improve and maintaining fast load times.
- Updating back-end and front end to ensure stability, security, and optimal performance.
- Coordinate app store updates and manage release notes.
- Keeping abreast industry trends and ensuring the eNCA digital remains current.
Content & Asset Management
- Ensuring the back end and front-end is optimal for content creation, loading and consumption.
- Support relevant teams on best-design and practises for content.
- Ensure SEO across the site.
- Assisting the content teams with SEO for specific content.
- Collaborating with the commercial teams to execute client campaigns.
- Collaborating with the commercial teams on innovations for clients.
- Manage homepage, carousels, headers, footers, and general content blocks of the platforms to ensure it is functioning properly and delivering content to the best of its abilities.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to content rendering, layout, broken links, or interactive elements.
- Serve as the first responder for CMS errors, app glitches, or API failures.
- Monitor customer feedback for any problems or errors with the digital platforms.
Analytics & Reporting
- Set up digital platforms for appropriate tracking using relevant tags and events.
- Assist Data & Insights Specialist with analytics.
- Use analytics to make recommendations on changes to the platforms.
Deployment & Versioning
- Stage and deploy updates, app builds, or CMS changes.
- Perform testing and QA across platforms before updates go live.
Content and Platforms
- Develop, implement, and maintain new website and app.
- Ensure 99.9% uptime of website and app.
- Deploy industry best practice to enhance speed of the website and app.
- Deploy industry best practices to enhance user experience.
- Ensure website and app is working as should, and that content is categories, published and displayed as should.
- Test enhancements, new features, and innovations on a test environment, ensuring 99.9% confidence before deploying to the production environment.
Audience
- Monitor user feedback to understand where improvements on the website and app can be made.
- Identify user journeys for opportunities to exploit, and weakness to strengthen.
Stakeholder Relationships
- Provide support to editorial team to ensure content is upload to website and app as and when needed.
- Work closely will all service provides to implement best practice technologies on the website and app.
- Maintain relationships with service provides to ensure no disruption to the going concern or the enhancement of the eNCA digital offerings.
- Explore innovations with external stakeholders to establish eNCA digital as a leader in the industry.
- Work closely with the editorial and other relevant departments to enhance content for web and app.
- Work closely with the commercial team to execute client campaigns.
- Build, support and maintain interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives.
- Seek partner opportunities to expand content offering.
Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate is Essential
- National Diploma in IT, Computers and/or Programming is Essential
- Bachelors Degree in IT, Computers and/or Programming is Recommended
Experience
- 3 years Journalism, Media, or Digital Newsroom and/or related field is Essential
- Drivers Licences is Recommended
