Supply Chain Management Clerk

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 certificate. A three-year National Diploma/Degree at NQF level 6 with 360 credits as recognized by SAQA in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
  • One-year experience in supply Chain Management will be an added advantage. A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.

DUTIES:

  • Sourcing of quotations as per National Treasury guidelines, receive and asses quotation to ensure that they comply with the minimum requirements. Assist end users with the compilation of compliant specifications. Capture requisitions on the supply Chain System and ensure that that purchase orders are issued to the recommended suppliers. Request, prepare and asses quotations to ensure that the quotations comply with the minimum requirements.
  • Ensure that standard bidding documents are obtained and fully completed by the suppliers and attached to transactions before caring requests. Extend the validity periods of quotes in advance of expirer dates.
  • Capturing of awarded contracts on National Treasury contracts registration applications (CRA). Ensure procedures comply with SCM policies. Ensure proper filling and safekeeping of documents.
  • Ensure timeous processing of payments to suppliers. Receiving and issuing of stock items. Management of Assets. Perform other duties as delegated by the Supervisor.
