REQUREMENT

Qualification(s)

• Degree in Food Science or Food Technology or other relevant qualification

Experience and Skills

• Minimum 10 years’ experience within quality and food safety in a FMCG environment, minimum 5 years leadership/management experience.
• Working experience in a food processing & manufacturing environment, supplier management, consumer customer complaints management, Laboratory management, internal /supplier auditing, managing contract manufacturers.
• Excellent knowledge of the applicable quality & food safety systems (ISO, FSCC 22000, PRP’s, HACCP, GMP, etc.) and the application thereof. Excellent knowledge of the applicable quality & food safety systems (ISO, FSCC 22000, PRP’s, HACCP, GMP, etc.)  and the application thereof.
• Proficient in MS Office
• Project Management
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and writing skills
• Stakeholders management
• Leadership skills

Reason for Essential qualification & Skills

• This role requires a solid understanding of technological and scientific background on food and applicable standards for Quality and Food Safety.
• The incumbent will be responsible for delivering of the set standards are 3PMs, Suppliers and DCs.
• Industry knowledge is a must as this will enable the incumbent to be able and capable to make important decisions on risk management

• Be able to travel to Suppliers, 3PMs and DCs
• Have a Risk Based Approach Mindset, to be able to risk assess and risk manage to provide a positive outcome/s.
