Requirements
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus six (6) years relevant experience in Supply Chain Management field or Diploma / Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Supply Chain Management / Financial Management, Public Management / Management Accounting field of study plus a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Supply Chain Management field.
- A qualification related to Treasury and competence for Finance officials will be an added advantage.
- Preparedness to security clearance and disclosure of financial interest. A valid driver’s licence (with exception of people with disabilities).
- Knowledge, Competencies and Skills: Supervisory skills, good planning and organized skills.
- Good interpersonal relations and good communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work under pressure and preparedness to work overtime, when required. Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Duties
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
- Maintain a database of al concluded contracts.
- Administering contracts effectively in accordance with policy, procedures and compliant with applicable legislative requirement.
- Maintain contract register in a format provided by Provincial Treasury. Interacting with the Project Managers about the signing of contracts and service level agreements for all contracts entered by the Department.
- Ensuring that all contracts are accurately recorded on the contract Register and regularly update of the contract register.
- Reviewing contracts on the contract register to ensure their validity.
- Co-coordinating and control the application of the procedures in respect of the supplier performance monitoring and contract management.
- Preparing reports on non-performing / poor performing companies and recommends the appropriate actions to be taken to remedy the situation. Supervising activities of the personnel to ensure that work performed meets acceptable standards and is completed within agreed upon timelines.
