About the role
- As a Senior Product Designer, you will be embedded within a specific product team or tribe, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other Designers to design, and refine high-impact product experiences.
- This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of end-to-end design work, from problem definition and research to execution and iteration. You will have the opportunity to directly engage with customers, run your own research, and leverage existing insights to inform and validate your work.
- Your role will be to design, refine, and scale impactful product experiences while ensuring that our design system, brand, and experience principles are upheld across all customer touchpoints

Understand & Define
Make the Intangible Tangible
- Engage deeply with customer problems and product challenges, conducting your own research and leveraging existing insights to identify real opportunities.
- Use systems thinking to define patterns, causality, and drop-offs that impact the customer experience.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to align on problems, priorities, and solutions that balance customer needs with business goals.
Design & Deliver
Preserve Original Intent & Reduce Learning Costs
- Design end-to-end customer journeys and experiences within your product area, ensuring seamless interaction across touchpoints.
- Prototype, test, and iterate—rapidly turning concepts into tangible, testable solutions.
- Take the lead on interaction and interface design, delivering high-quality, human-centered solutions.
- Balance speed and craftsmanship, knowing when to move fast and when to go deep to refine critical details.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and executed to a high standard.
Iterate & Scale
Own the Design Journey amplifying the Ecosystem Experience
- Take existing product journeys and improve them by identifying pain points, inconsistencies, and areas for optimization.
- Design with scalability and long-term maintainability in mind, ensuring solutions work for current and future needs.
- Collaborate with the broader Design team to ensure consistency across our Design System, Brand, and Product Experience.
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring our products work for all merchants.
Collaborate & Advocate
Strategic Participation
- Be an active voice in product and design discussions, helping to shape what we build and how we build it.
- Facilitate design critiques, working sessions, and feedback loops to align stakeholders and improve design outcomes.
- Work closely with Product Marketing and Brand teams to ensure our design language is consistent, intentional, and impactful.
- Help foster a culture of design excellence by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior designers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our practice.
About you
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing impactful work in digital products.
- Comfortable working within a dedicated product team, balancing execution with problem-solving.
- A self-sufficient designer who can conduct your own research, synthesize insights, and apply them to product decisions.
- Proficient in interaction design, prototyping, and visual design, with a deep understanding of user-centered methodologies.
- Ability to work fast, iterate, and test assumptions while maintaining high design quality.
- A meticulous designer with a sharp eye for aesthetics and detail in both macro and micro-interactions, ensuring high-quality execution in every aspect of the product experience.
- You’re a systems thinker, but also a pragmatic decision-maker—you know when to push for a new approach and when to work within existing frameworks.
- Not afraid to challenge assumptions, but also open to feedback and alternative perspectives.
- You understand trade-offs—balancing user experience with feasibility, scalability, and technical constraints.
