Job Requirements

• A PhD in Tourism or a closely related field with research in Tourism.
• At least 5 years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or 7 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
• At least five (5) publications in accredited, peer-reviewed journals
• Evidence of postgraduate student supervision and curriculum development.
• Demonstrated engagement in entrepreneurship education or tourism enterprise initiatives.

Duties, among others, include:

• Ensure that programme taught complies with required academic and other standards by compiling lecture notes, study guides, blended teaching and learning.
• Supervision of postgraduate students.
• Spearhead internal and externally funded research projects in the Department.
• Participate in the University’s outreach community engagement programme
• Teaching any three of the following modules: Travel Practice Operations, Tourism Management and Tourism Development
