• PhD in Mine Surveying
• At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field.
• At least 15 articles published in accredited journals, chapters in a book and/or  book publications.
• Evidence of supervision of at least four Masters or Doctoral students  to completion.

Duties:

• Teaching at the undergraduate level and supervision of postgraduate students.
• Leadership and active participation in development and review of curricular for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Conducting active research programmes in collaboration with others within and outside the department.
• Publishing research results in accredited, high-impact national and international journals.
• Effectively involvement in community engagement activities of the departmentMentoring and couching of junior staff.
