KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Facilitate effective learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, specifically in Public Law modules, such as Public International Law, Legal Interpretation, Constitutional Law, Human Rights Law, Environmental Law, African Regional Law and Local Government Law;
- Assume responsibility for programme development, programme coordination, development of course materials, as well as the facilitation of lectures, tutorials and assessment of modules in Public Law;
- Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students, both LLM and LLD;
- Perform independent research and publish in peer reviewed journals (national and international);
- Perform administrative duties and other functions as assigned by the Department or Faculty.
REQUIREMENTS
- An LLD in a sub-discipline in Public Law;
- At least 10 years’ experience in a teaching, learning, supervision and research environment;
- Demonstrated ability to produce research outputs, including accepted outputs in accredited journals (ideally at least 15 accredited outputs for professor position (journal articles, books, chapters in books, conference proceedings));
- Demonstrated national and international recognition for learning and teaching, as well as research;
- Demonstrated successful supervision experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, both LLM and LLD;
- Demonstrated experience in Faculty/University leadership and/or management.
