Requirements :

• Grade 12 plus a qualification that allows registration with SANC as a nursing Assistant.
• Candidate must have current registration receipt as a Nursing Assistant.
• Candidate should have elementary communication and writing skills. Be able to function as part of a team.

Duties :

• Demonstrate basic understanding of nursing legislation and related ethical nursing practices. Provide patients with basic nursing care i.e., maintain hygiene, provide nutrition and mobility.
• Provide nursing care according to scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Assist the team with clinical procedures for diagnosing and management of patients under supervision of a Professional Nurse.
• Utilize all resources effectively and efficiently. Maintain the code of conduct as required in the public service. Maintain professional growth/ethical standard and self -development.
• Escort patients for clinical procedures within and outside the institution. Contribute towards safe environment for the patients and other team members. Participate in team building and positive working environment.
