Marketing Manager
Tasks
Operational delivery Â
- Assist in planning and rolling out GTM campaigns for MCSA marketing.
- Coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables, and channel integration in collaboration with SuperSport, GE, media and all commercial teams.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all marketing touchpoints.
- Serve as the day-to-day marketing liaison between product teams, customer value management, digital, and content teams (SS and GE).
- Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on campaign objectives, deliverables, timelines and metrics.
- Work closely with internal creative studio and external agencies to brief and review campaign concepts and assets.
- Coordinate the development of marketing collateral, digital assets, retail materials and social assets in line with product strategy.
- Assist in reviewing copy and creative for product and marketing accuracy, relevance and tone alignment.
Reporting and tracking
- Use data and reporting frameworks to measure performance, derive insights and continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
- Collate campaign data and customer feedback to derive insights and learnings.
- Prepare post-campaign analysis and contribute to optimising future product marketing initiatives.
People Management
- Oversee the activities of the team to ensure effective delivery of business outcomes.
- Develop a high performing team by embedding formal performance management processes.
- Determine and analyse development needs for the team and ensure that identified training requirements are budgeted for and executed.
- Interview and recruit new members of the team, including determining appropriate compensation levels with input from Human Capital.
- Create effective workforce and recruitment demand plans to ensure that current and future business requirements can be met.
- When required, initiate disciplinary processes for team members calling on support from Human Capital when required.
- Resolve grievances raised by team members and escalate only if required.
- Address poor performance of any team member through the formal Performance improvement programme and ensure that continued poor performance is appropriately dealt with.
- Motivate team members and ensure that their efforts are recognised.
Qualifications Essential:
- Post grad qualification or equivalent NQF Level 8 Qualifications in Marketing/Business Management or similar
Qualification Preferred:
- Qualification in marketing field advantageous
Experience
- A minimum of 8 years of marketing experience
- 5+ years of management experience
