Overview    

• This position will assist with the daily pre-release QC sampling and confirmation testing of detonators. The position will also on an ad hoc basis assist with detonator destruction, testing of emulsion explosives and other laboratory test work as assigned                                                                                                     

Qualifications    

• Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience    

• 1 year demonstrated experience in Quality Control sampling and confirmation testing of detonators in a production environment
• 1 year demonstrated experience in Laboratory environment
• 1 year demonstrated experience in explosives production environment

Duties    

• To assist in the daily pre-release QC sampling 
• Confirmation testing of detonators and detonator assemblies administration of test data
• Video capturing and analyses
• Good housekeeping and cleaning of laboratory actions
• Adherence to minimum safety standards and procedures

Job Competencies    
Job Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of production and quality control principles
• Computer Literacy (Excel) 
• Proven written and verbal communication skills 

Job Related Skills:

• Physically fit and energetic with sober habits.
• Hands-on experience in explosives testing techniques would be advantageous
