Job Description
- A leading national wholesale distributor is seeking a dynamic, experienced Key Account Manager to manage and grow major national retail customers. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment, loves building strong customer relationships, and is passionate about sales growth, strategy execution, and excellent account management.
Responsibilities
- Managing key national retail accounts, ensuring sales and GP targets are met.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Conducting regular customer meetings and national store visits.
- Driving category growth, promotions, and new product listings.
- Managing forecasting, planning, stock availability, and promotional execution.
- Preparing accurate monthly reporting, forecasts, and planning documents.
- Participating in bi-annual range reviews and showrooms.
- Identifying and securing new major retail business opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Key Account Management or Sales.
- FMCG or Wholesale/General Merchandise experience is highly advantageous.
- Experience managing national retail chains.
- Advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable).
- Strong communication, planning, forecasting, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel nationally as required.
