Your mission as an Inventory Manager

  • As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and end-to-end warehouse and inventory performance within the supply chain. You will ensure seamless coordination of inbound and outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, and process efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives, data-driven forecasting, and proactive risk management.
  • Lastly, you will lead optimization efforts across demand planning, S&OP, and replenishment to enhance service levels, productivity, and cost control.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and implement operational excellence initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization across the warehouse and logistics functions.
  • Standardize and continuously improve operational processes (receiving, put-away, picking, dispatch, replenishment) in alignment with Lean methodologies.
  • Track inventory accuracy across all warehouses, and channels in real time using advanced planning tools and ERP/WMS systems.
  • Implement robust inventory control mechanisms (e.g., ABC classification, FIFO/LIFO, cycle counting, MRP parameter optimization).
  • Monitor and analyse inventory levels to balance service levels, working capital, and operational cost with sites and workshops.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more key planning areas: Demand Planning, Inventory Management, S&OP, RCCP, or Operational Planning.
  • Drive alignment across sales, sourcing, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure supply plans reflect realistic constraints and opportunities.
  • Measure and report performance of supply and demand planning processes, identifying variances and driving corrective actions.
  • Lead and coach warehouse and inventory teams to build capability in Lean, problem-solving, and digital supply chain tools.
  • Serve as liaison between operations and executive management, translating performance insights into actionable strategies.
  • Utilize ERP, WMS, and planning systems to maintain data accuracy and visibility across operations.
  • Develop dashboards to monitor KPIs such as inventory turns, service levels, forecast accuracy, and operational cost.

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 5 years in Warehouse or Inventory Management, with exposure to Manufacturing or Mining environments.
  • Proven track record in process optimization, planning, and supply chain analytics.
  • Strong systems proficiency: Microsoft Office, ERP/WMS (M3), and Planning.
  • Experience managing end-to-end S&OP cycles, scenario analysis, and KPI tracking.

Who you are

  • Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering (non-negotiable).
  • Professional certification in Lean Six Sigma, CPIM, CSCP, or Business Process Improvement is advantageous.
  • Comfortable in high pressure environments
  • Attentive to details
  • A collaborative mindset
  • Fascinated about continuous improvement
