Inventory Manager
Your mission as an Inventory Manager
- As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and end-to-end warehouse and inventory performance within the supply chain. You will ensure seamless coordination of inbound and outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, and process efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives, data-driven forecasting, and proactive risk management.
- Lastly, you will lead optimization efforts across demand planning, S&OP, and replenishment to enhance service levels, productivity, and cost control.
What you’ll do
- Lead and implement operational excellence initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization across the warehouse and logistics functions.
- Standardize and continuously improve operational processes (receiving, put-away, picking, dispatch, replenishment) in alignment with Lean methodologies.
- Track inventory accuracy across all warehouses, and channels in real time using advanced planning tools and ERP/WMS systems.
- Implement robust inventory control mechanisms (e.g., ABC classification, FIFO/LIFO, cycle counting, MRP parameter optimization).
- Monitor and analyse inventory levels to balance service levels, working capital, and operational cost with sites and workshops.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more key planning areas: Demand Planning, Inventory Management, S&OP, RCCP, or Operational Planning.
- Drive alignment across sales, sourcing, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure supply plans reflect realistic constraints and opportunities.
- Measure and report performance of supply and demand planning processes, identifying variances and driving corrective actions.
- Lead and coach warehouse and inventory teams to build capability in Lean, problem-solving, and digital supply chain tools.
- Serve as liaison between operations and executive management, translating performance insights into actionable strategies.
- Utilize ERP, WMS, and planning systems to maintain data accuracy and visibility across operations.
- Develop dashboards to monitor KPIs such as inventory turns, service levels, forecast accuracy, and operational cost.
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 5 years in Warehouse or Inventory Management, with exposure to Manufacturing or Mining environments.
- Proven track record in process optimization, planning, and supply chain analytics.
- Strong systems proficiency: Microsoft Office, ERP/WMS (M3), and Planning.
- Experience managing end-to-end S&OP cycles, scenario analysis, and KPI tracking.
Who you are
- Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering (non-negotiable).
- Professional certification in Lean Six Sigma, CPIM, CSCP, or Business Process Improvement is advantageous.
