QUALIFICATIONS

  • Matric
  • Tertiary / trade qualifications are desirable along with suitable industry experience and application knowledge.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and adept at utilizing internet resources.
  • Expertise in typing and formatting various documents with precision and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated competence in costing and generating quotes, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Proficient in managing emails, ensuring timely responses and effective communication.
  • Skilled in handling telephonic inquiries and driving sales through effective engagement.
  • Experience in conducting technical bid evaluations, assessing proposals with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Competent in valve selections, including sizing and identification, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
  • Capable of compiling comprehensive tender documents, including Annexure C, D, and E, meeting stringent requirements and standards.
  • Proven track record of working effectively under pressure to meet strict timelines and deadlines, ensuring project success and client satisfaction.
  • 5 Years Valve Experience and Valve Selection
  • Exports experience Valves

Responsibilities:

Project Sales

  • Thoroughly analyze projects before proceeding
  • Verify quotes for technical accuracy and advise customers of any deviations from RFQ
  • Develop comprehensive project solutions and submit final offers
  • Ensure quality department received all necessary documents for QCP’s and Data books
  • Liaise with intercompany suppliers for quotes and orders

Internal Sales

  • Ensure prompt and effective handling of daily customer inquiries, especially distributors.
  • Maintain telesales efforts aligned with performance targets
  • Actively promote products and sales
  • Uphold good timekeeping and respond promptly to customer queries
  • Verify stock availability accurately
  • Follow up proactively on back orders and communicate transparently with customers
  • Submit clean orders to administrators for processing
  • Resolve customer complaints related to customer service effectively
  • Assist with export enquiries including freight and transport
  • Identify sales leads and escalate to external sales staff promptly

Administration

  • Manage own workload, prioritizing filing and general office administration
  • Provide administrative support to the external sales team
  • Diligently follow up on sales leads
  • Market Intelligence
