Job Description
- ITB, a subsidiary of the Novus Holdings Group, is a leading manufacturer of flexible plastic packaging.
- We produce a diverse range of high-quality packaging solutions for the FMCG sector and other industries, serving customers throughout South Africa and abroad.
- We’re looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team and drive key HR initiatives that support our business goals.
- The incumbent will be required to develop effective relationships with line managers and provide a professional HR service to the business.
- The position is based at our head office and factory in Isithebe.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Manage employee relations, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies.
- Drive training and development programs to enhance workforce skills and engagement.
- Lead compensation, benefits, and payroll administration.
- Develop and implement policies to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Implementing employment equity and diversity management programmes;
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, industry regulations, and company standards.
- Ensure data is captured accuratly in the HR information system and continuously monitor the quality of data
- Generate management reports and manage workforce planning to support decision-making
- Provide guidance and support to senior management on HR-related matters
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources or related field.
Experience Requirements
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience in HR at a management level.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
- Experience in representing Company interests at CCMA or CDR hearings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage and resolve employee relations issues.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems
