Job Description

  • ITB, a subsidiary of the Novus Holdings Group, is a leading manufacturer of flexible plastic packaging.
  • We produce a diverse range of high-quality packaging solutions for the FMCG sector and other industries, serving customers throughout South Africa and abroad.
  • We’re looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team and drive key HR initiatives that support our business goals.
  • The incumbent will be required to develop effective relationships with line managers and provide a professional HR service to the business.
  • The position is based at our head office and factory in Isithebe.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies.
  • Drive training and development programs to enhance workforce skills and engagement.
  • Lead compensation, benefits, and payroll administration.
  • Develop and implement policies to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Implementing employment equity and diversity management programmes;
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, industry regulations, and company standards.
  • Ensure data is captured accuratly in the HR information system and continuously monitor the quality of data
  • Generate management reports and manage workforce planning to support decision-making
  • Provide guidance and support to senior management on HR-related matters

Educational Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field.

Experience Requirements

  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience in HR at a management level.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in representing Company interests at CCMA or CDR hearings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems
