High Access Site Manager – Level 3

Minimum Requirements    

  • 10 years’ experience in high access cleaning, or a similar role is required.
  • 6 years’ experience in managing direct reports.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards essential.
  • Supervisory and management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of cleaning procedures and techniques.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and its proper use.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients.
  • Ability to train and mentor staff.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities    
Financial Performance

  • Manage budget and cleaning supplies by ensuring that cleaning supplies are used efficiently, and that excess waste is minimized
  • Order stock and align to the better buying principle by switching to more cost-effective cleaning agents or finding ways to reduce the amount of material needed for specific tasks.
  • Monitor usage trends and identify areas where costs could be reduced

Manage Risk

  • Conducts inspections to ensure that the areas are clean and meet the established standards.
  • Supervise and manage a team of cleaners: This includes assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations: This involves ensuring the team follows all necessary safety protocols, including the use of appropriate equipment and personal protective gear (PPE).
  • Manage high-access cleaning tasks: This includes using specialized equipment and techniques to clean areas at heights, such as windows of high-rise buildings, using ladders, or other access equipment.
  • Monitor cleaning standards and quality: This involves inspecting work areas and ensuring they meet the required standards of cleanliness.
  • Conduct end to end inspections in the restrooms, offices, kitchens, and common spaces.
  • Regular check whether the windows and other areas are thoroughly cleaned and free of dust, dirt, or stains.
  • Ensure that the team adheres to relevant safety standards by making sure that the team uses the proper cleaning materials, handles chemicals correctly, and wears personal protective equipment (PPE) where necessary.
  • Ensure that cleaning staff follow correct procedures for handling waste, especially in settings like healthcare facilities, where special protocols are required for medical waste.

Health and Safety Compliance

  • Ensures that cleaning practices comply with all relevant regulation i.e. OSHA guidelines, as well as local or industry-specific health and safety rules
  • Ensure that all cleaning staff understand and follow these regulations, from proper chemical handling to the safe use of cleaning equipment.

Leading and Managing People

  • Supervising and leading cleaning team members by overseeing the day-to-day activities of the cleaning team.
  • Assign tasks to the team by ensuring that duties are performed to the highest standards, and motivating team members.
  • Ensures that cleaning staff work efficiently and in compliance with established procedures.
