High Access Cleaner – Level 1
Minimum Requirements
- Experience in cleaning for corporate and industrial sites preferrable
- Corporate Offices: Working during off-hours to ensure office cleanliness.
- Industrial Facilities: Often requiring specialised safety gear and procedures.
- Physical Fitness: A reasonable level of physical fitness is essential for working at heights.
- Height Acclimation: A comfortable attitude towards heights is crucial.
- Safety Awareness: A strong understanding of safety protocols and practices when working at heights.
- Basic Knot Knowledge: Ability to tie basic knots and use them correctly for rigging and safety.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring no area goes uncleaned.
- Knowledge of Cleaning Products: Understanding how to use various cleaning agents and equipment safely.
Duties and Responsibilities
Housekeeping
- Basic Rope Access: Performing basic rope access manoeuvres, including ascent, descent, and positioning on structures.
- Equipment Proficiency: Correctly using access equipment, inspecting personal ropes, and assisting with rigging and non-standard operations.
- Cleaning Tasks: Cleaning windows, facades, and other surfaces at height.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhering to company and customer safety standards, as well as legal regulations, and reporting any potential hazards.
- Basic Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks as part of the cleaning process.
- Collaboration: Working under the guidance of more experienced personnel on complex tasks.
- First Aid and Rescue: Having knowledge of basic rescue procedures and assisting with rescues, including descent and hauling systems.
Key Inspection Areas
- Ensuring cleaning quality is high standards at all times.
- Clean floor windows and all other areas according to procedures.
- Equipment and cleaning agents to be used according to instructions.
- Observe all safety and hygiene standards.
- Sign off correctly cleaning schedules correctly.
- Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to
Reporting
- Report to the Supervisor daily on attendance, chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
- Communicate with the Supervisor throughout the day to receive additional tasks and give feedback on previous tasks.
- Report any hazards, potential hazards, incidents, or accidents observed.
- Reporting to the Supervisor if there’s any problems e.g., broken equipment, no chemicals, staff not at work, etc.
- Reporting repairs and replacements that are required when encountered while cleaning.
General
- Relieve or assist in other areas or departments when necessary.
- Attend meetings and training courses as required.
- Always Observe the Company Rules and Regulations.
- Carry out any other reasonable instructions within time limits set. Failure to carry out any instruction will result in disciplinary action.
- Adhere to working hours, lunch and relief agreed to the supervisor.
- Wear uniform as per standard procedure and always keep clean and tidiness.
