Requirements
- A Relevant BTECH / First degree.
- Eight (8) years appropriate Loss control / compliance experience at advisory level and managing a team.
- Extensive and specialised knowledge of compliance, Investigations and Local Government Legislation and Bylaws.
- Effective interpersonal as well as oral / written communication skills.
- Ability to deal with high level confidential matters.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office suite, SAP).
- A valid driver’s license.
Key Performance Areas
- Managing the operations of the Internal Control, Investigations and Protection services functionality within the Water and Sanitation Directorate.
- Develop administrative policies and procedures and standing instructions to ensure best practice and compliance with local government strategies.
- Plan and administer investigation process for the Department.
- Conduct and lead professional high-level investigations covering all employees and movable / immovable assets of the department.
- Ensure audit queries and report are dealt with timeously and that necessary systems and controls are put in place.
- Manage a security coordination service.
- Manage and plan departmental Governance Compliance assessments and providing Governance and Compliance Awareness and training.
- Coordinate and manage the department insurance function.
- Manage of Security and protection service unit.
