Description

  • The Group Internal Communications Manager is responsible and accountable for delivering strategic, relevant and engaging communications that support the Sun International Group’s business and people agenda.
  • This includes developing and executing internal communication plans, creating tailored content to connect with a diverse workforce and collaborating with key departments such as Marketing and Investor Relations to embed the company’s strategy and values.
  • The role requires a strong grasp of workforce sentiment, cultural awareness and a focus on inclusion to ensure communications resonate across all levels and remain aligned with the evolving needs of the business.

Key Performance Outcomes

  • Partner with leadership and Business Unit management to understand and cascade key business and people strategies across the organisation
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans, including detailed workplans to support implementation at both Group and unit level
  • Create and manage tailored content across multiple channels (newsletters, intranet, email, announcements etc) to engage diverse audiences effectively
  • Select and oversee communication channels and internal collateral (videos, branding, digital tools) to support the Employer Brand and ensure message reach
  • Coordinate content delivery and communication efforts with internal stakeholders at Group and unit levels
  • Manage communication resources, including budgets and external suppliers, to ensure efficient execution
  • Monitor, measure and report on the impact and effectiveness of communication initiatives using data and feedback
  • Collaborate closely with HR, leadership and other stakeholders to align communication with broader business goals and company culture
  • Lead internal communication during organisational changes and crisis situations, ensuring clarity, accuracy and engagement
  • Support the development of leadership communications by preparing high-quality speeches, presentations and key messaging for initiatives and events
  • Support and reinforce company culture through consistent, values-driven communication
  • Leverage strategic storytelling across integrated omni-channel platforms to drive meaningful engagement and alignment with organisational goals

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Communications
  • 10-15 years’ experience in a communications environment, 5 of which at management level
