Finance Clerk

Requirements :

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Relevant qualification in finance will be an added advantage. Knowledge of SCOA, UPFS, PFMA, DORA, Treasury regulations and Transversal systems (SAP-HIS, SAP E-receipting, SAP-R3, IMS and BAS).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal relations. Problem-solving skills. Basic computer and numeracy skills.

Duties :

  • Verify suppliers’ payments on BAS. Performs suppliers’ reconciliations and attend to suppliers’ queries. Clearing the web cycle. Capturing of sundry payments on SAP-R3. Allocate budget for all the transactions using SCOA segments.
  • Maintain commitment register. Clearing of inter responsibility account on monthly basis (IRC). Compile and submit the accruals report monthly. Identify and correct misallocations. Compile and capture journals on SAP.
  • Manage strongroom, issuing and receiving of face value documents. Petty cash replenishment. Submission of entity forms. Billing of patient accounts. Debtors’ management. Submission of patients’ accounts to funders.
  • Tracing of outstanding debtors. Handing accounts over to state attorney. Writing-off irrecoverable debts. Perform duties of the main cashier. Perform monthly revenue reconciliations. Compile IYM report. Perform any other function as allocated by the supervisor.
