Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12
• Bachelor of Science in engineering or architecture
• Degree from a recognized technical college

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• Experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD)
• Draw manually favorable, but not essential
• Computer Literacy

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Scheduling drawings to agreed priorities
• Quality draughting services
• Following specifications and calculations
• Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems
• Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations
• Communicating with engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings
• Preparing, reviewing and redrafting alongside the Survey team
• Ensuring final designs are compliant with legislation regulations
• Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team
• Preparing reports for management and other stakeholders
