 Job Summary

  • Salary: R228 321 per annum (Level 05)

Requirements and Expectations

Minimum Requirements

  • A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or an equivalent relevant qualification.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in Supply Chain Management (Acquisition Management) will serve as an added advantage.
  • The disclosure of a valid, unexpired driver’s license will serve as an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook/Exchange).
  • Basic knowledge of financial operating systems (SAP).
  • Understanding of the legislative framework governing public service and supply chain processes.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and workflow processes within a working environment.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, and function effectively within a team.
  • Demonstrated ethical conduct, accountability, and client-focused service orientation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide demand and acquisition management support in line with SCM policies.
  • Assist with the compilation and maintenance of records in accordance with Supply Chain Management (SCM) prescripts, including procurement batches, bid documents, and related files.
  • Receive requests for goods and services from end users and capture specifications on the electronic purchasing system.
  • Request and evaluate quotations and place purchase orders as authorized.
  • Issue and receive bid documents and provide logistical or secretariat support during bid specification and evaluation meetings.
  • Compile and draft official documents, reports, and correspondence as required.
  • Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping systems for all SCM activities.
  • Perform any other administrative duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Note

  • Candidates will be required to complete a practical and theoretical test as part of the selection process.
