Claims Admin and Support : General Manager

Minimum Qualification Required
- Grade 12/Standard 10/NQF 4
- An applicable bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field
- Any applicable post-matric qualifications will be advantageous.
Minimum Experience
- Proven track record with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in claims in the Short-Term Insurance Industry, for both Personal line and Commercial Insurance
- Must currently be in a management role overseeing a rescue/emergency call centre, salvage, car hire, and towing operations.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a middle or senior management capacity.
- Solid understanding of the end-to-end claims administration lifecycle, procedures, and processes.
Deliverables include, but will not be limited to
- Strategic Oversight: Direct the overall performance, strategy, and operations of the Claims Administration department, including the rescue/emergency call centre, salvage, car hire, and towing divisions.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Oversee the performance, cost-effectiveness, and service level agreements of all external service providers, including towing services, car hire companies, and salvage providers.
- Operational Excellence: Drive the development and implementation of projects and system enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate the customer experience across all managed areas.
- Financial Acumen: Manage the Manex and Loss Ratio for the Claims Administration department, operations are financially optimized.
- Performance Reporting: Develop and present comprehensive reports on departmental performance, operational KPIs, and project progress to the Head of Department.
- Risk & Compliance: Monitor and manage the risk register for the department, ensuring all processes and procedures are compliant with industry regulations and company policies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Provide general support and act as a subject matter expert to the broader Claims Department, Procurement, and other internal business units to ensure seamless integration and operational alignment.
