JOB PURPOSE:
- Monitoring of projects from a financial perspective, liaising with service providers and escalating deviations. Coordinating and overseeing all finances of housing projects, performing cost analyses, reviewing purchase orders, invoices, and supplier contracts to ensure that all estimated construction projects costs withing the Human Settlements division are tracked and managed efficiently and effectively.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST:
- Grade 12
- Certificate/Diploma in Financial Management or equivalent
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation ie housing
- Financial administration act
- Generally acceptable accounting (principles and municipal financial by laws (MFMA) policies procedure
- Supervisory skills
- Code B driver’s license
- Computer literacy (Ms Word)
- Good interpersonal relations and communication skills
- Ability to give attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- No criminal record
