Description

• Required to perform various Heavy Maintenance/SVM duties including, but not limited to:
• Analyse and interpret aircraft blueprints, specifications, and maintenance manuals to perform repairs;
• Prepare surfaces and apply protective coatings to a variety of materials used on the aircraft;
• Fabricate parts as needed; 
• Conduct maintenance;
• Order supplies, equipment, materials, and parts for repairs and routine maintenance; 
• Safely operate various tools used for sheet metal applications;
• Install, repair, inspect, and replace sheet metal components on aircraft, including structural assemblies.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential); 
• Trade test Certificate (Aircraft Sheet Metal/Structures) (Essential)
• Licensed AME with a SACAA B rating (Essential);
• Minimum of 5 years aviation experience (Essential); 
• Previous experience working on B737-800 (Essential); 
• Previous experience working on B737-8 (MAX) (Advantageous)
• OJT experience (Advantageous); 
• Valid South African passport holder; 
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and overtime as and when required; 
• Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally.
