Description

• The appointed individual will be responsible to manage, develop and grow a designated portfolio of Brokers, to retain existing business and generate new business opportunities with new brokers and achieve the desired sales volumes, achieve Gross Written Premiums and Loss Ratio Targets.

Requirements
Key Tasks & Accountabilities

• Produce a Business Plan that reflects market opportunities for area of responsibility
• Produce a Sales plan that demonstrates how to identify, develop and manage prospects
• Underwrite and accept risks within delegated authority.
• Grow and retain business to ensure the GWP and profitability targets are met
• Track portfolio performance through internal BI systems
• Deliver and enhance the highest level of client satisfaction by working with brokers to map and determine their business needs in delivering superior client service
• Strategically analyse the Brokers business plan and develop future business opportunities
• Ensure that technical and operational underwriting standards and procedures are adhered to
• Implement agreed portfolio management to attain targeted loss ratios and rates
• Ensure adherence to the Regional Teams Sales plan
• Analysis of governance and risk management executed to Bryte expectations and guidelines
• Build strong business partnerships
• Arrange business entertainment for clients

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate calibre
• 10 years+ short term insurance industry experience and sound experience in Sales with a strong presence in the Broker community.
• FAIS compliant

Knowledge

• Sound understanding and knowledge of South African Insurance market and experience within Sales
• Sound knowledge of statutory and legislative requirements
• Maintain up to date knowledge of local markets and industry sectors
• Sound knowledge of Bryte South Africa and its business strategy and objectives

Technical Skills

• Sound understanding and knowledge of Assets, Commercial and personal lines products within the SA short term insurance market.
• Sound knowledge of statutory and legislative requirements
• Maintain up to date knowledge of local markets and industry sectors
• Sound knowledge of Bryte South Africa and its business strategy and objectives

Travel and Other Requirements

• Extensive local travel in the role (own vehicle requirement
• Driving license required
