• A lovely family is looking for an Au pair for their 2 children
• Area: Groenkloof, Pretoria
• Children’s Ages: Boy, aged 12, Grade 7 (2026) and Boy, aged 8, Grade 3 (2026)
• Working hours: Monday – Friday: 13h30 – 17h00
• School holiday hours: same/similar hours
• Duties: Collect from school, take to extra murals, assist with homework, age-appropriate stimulation and Activities, general care, and prep snacks/meals. Run general family errands, Grocery shopping on your behalf
• Special Requirements: Male/female, Age 23+, Very energetic (boys want to be able to play with her sometimes, even if just kicking a ball), Bubbly personality, Organised (I have a rather specific system which works for my home), Forward thinker, Must be able to take initiative, Preferably a student (intermediary phase BEd), Not married (Preferably not living with a partner), Previous employment and experience with children of similar ages for more than one year (I need someone who is genuinely able to commit), Sensitive to the emotional needs of children, Non-smoking / non-vaping, Must be able to multi-task (the kids differ 4 years in age and the youngest must not be left to his own devices whilst busy helping the eldest with work or studying), NB – must live close to the children’s school and our home (Groenkloof/Brooklyn/Hatfield/Nieuw Muckleneuk), Christian, Well-kept with good manners, integrity and values, Disciplined, With good references.
• Start Date and contract term: Jan 2026 – permanent
• Salary: R9000pm + SARS rates

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
