Key responsibilities:
- Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities: Research and identify potential clients and develop strategies to approach and secure new business.
- Sales Presentations and Demonstrations: Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and features of our products/services.
- Research and Identify Leads: Analyze target markets and identify potential clients that align with the company’s services
- Outreach Strategies: Use cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and networking to initiate contact with prospects.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads to ensure consistent sales opportunities.
- Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiate terms of sales agreements and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and threats.
- Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to management.
- Coordination: Work with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales orders and customer services.
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Client information Accuracy: Ensuring all client records are accurate and uploaded into CRM.
- Targets: Bring in revenue on a monthly basis of six times monthly Cost to Company.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification (minimum diploma or degree) in Food Technology, Quality Management, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or Business Administration.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a sales position with experience in the B2B market.
- Previous experience selling food safety training (advantageous).
- Experience working in a team environment with exposure to client liaison.
- Ability to identify and pursue business opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
- Experience working under pressure and delivering on deadlines.
- Preference will be given to employment equity candidates.
