Assistant Accountant: Payroll Administration

JOB PURPOSE:

  • Co-ordinate, implement, monitor and supervising processes related to the provision of consolidated payroll services through the accurate and timeous payment of salaries, third parties, inclusive of allowances, benefits and deductions to employees, EPWP’s and councillors. Attend to strict deadlines regarding deliverables in compliance with all Payroll/ HR/ Tax legislation.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST:

  • National Diploma in Finance (NQF Level 6) or equivalent

OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST:

  • Computer literacy (MS Office package)
  • Code B drivers’ license
  • Numerical skills
  • Conflict handling skills
  • Ability to give attention to detail and work independently
  • Supervisory and management skills
  • Communication skills
  • Good human relations and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of administrative support and control systems
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years relevant financial and administrative experience
