About the Role

• As an Application Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing the strategy for our Surface GET product portfolio and ensuring our customers receive the best product recommendations, performance insights, and technical support.
• You will work closely with Product Managers, commercial teams, and our customers to deliver solutions that improve productivity and reliability across their fleets.
• This is a hands-on, customer-focused role where your technical insight, site presence, and ability to build strong relationships will directly support our growth across the region.

What You’ll Be Doing

Product Application & Market Insight

• Understand customer value drivers and recommend the best fit GET solutions for their operations.
• Review mine site parameters, performance data, and maintenance behaviours to ensure correct product selection.
• Identify new market opportunities and support new product introduction in the region.

Product Performance & Validation

• Monitor and validate GET performance in new applications or regions.
• Support field service teams with metrics and insights for performance tracking.
• Work with third parties to ensure correct installation and set-up of lip systems and GET products.

Customer Value & Commercial Outcomes

• Identify improvement opportunities that demonstrate the value of CR offering.
• Support premium service offerings and help create strong commercial outcomes for both Epiroc and the customer.

Continuous Improvement & Safety

• Lead with exemplary HS&E behaviours aligned to The Epiroc Way.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

What You Bring

• Degree qualification preferred (Engineering or related discipline).
• 6+ years’ experience with mobile mining equipment, GET, or bucket systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate across functions, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and site teams.
• Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Understanding of the South African mining landscape and its operational realities.
